A few June-y amusements

Hello, friends. Hard to believe June is nearly over and the 4th is charging on. This 4th of July will be interesting. I would have enjoyed a different 250th but oh, well.

We are enjoying a pleasant summer in the Northwest but know that so many places are experiencing really awful weather. My sister and I were in Paris during their (until now) record heat and it was truly miserable. There’s a lot of concrete to be had there. So to know that the heat has broken that record and normally cooler Europe cities like London are also having serious heat makes me sad for them and extra grateful for our lovely climate here. Sometimes late June here is gray most of the day and I start getting grouchy and wanting more sun, but our sun - with some but few exceptions -is 80’s at best. I am a true wimp in heat and if humidity tags along, well, my fuse is short.

I have been a bizzy bee,

and starting the 2027 calendar. This year’s calendar - What the Cluck - is, you guessed it - all about chickens, ducks. geese and other “fowl-weather” friends. Here’s a “GOOD MORNING!” taste; remember everything is in first draft and play-around stage right now.

A few smiles from here and there.

  1. Enjoy this bird making a home.

  2. This Irishman describing the Scottish, beer, and the World Cup. Need a laugh?

  3. It took 10,000 dice to make this.

  4. And, for smiles, there’s always Carter. Here are two.

Carter makes a Greek salad.

Obviously, I am quite in love with the little Englishman. Currently 5, he lives in Dorset, England, with his parents, Adam and Shay, who noticed in 2004 his natural confidence and passion for helping out in the kitchen.

Okay, that’s it for now. Time to say good-night. Thanks for coming.
