Q is for Quirky
It’s been awhile since I opened a Jewelbox, (last June, it seems!) but here I am, picking up where I left off.
Three “pasta” artists highlighted in this NYTimes article and some amazing photos of their work. David Rivillo has several short reels here in case you are as intrigued as I am.
Also check out Fiona Afshar and Jennifer Tran.

Hmmm….Not anybody I know and love. At least five other friends who meet with me every other week to play some. Board, card, dice games…I love ‘em all. Just be a good sport.
If you love games, do check out Board Game Arena…filled with game lovers and dozens and dozens of board games that you can actually play online. I find it awesome to be playing a game in real time with someone in Australia or Greece or Japan.
And P.S. We do not play Chess or other high-minded and serious games. We play Play Nine, Parks, Architects, Go Fish, Clue, Five Crowns, Spinner, Dominoes, among many other casual games for six players. Bob and I play lots of other games, too: King Domino, Carcasonne, Rummikube, Hand and Foot…a couple of cupboardfuls of games.
We. Play. For. Fun.

It’s teacher appreciation week, or thereabouts, so this seems relevant. I can attest to its truthfulness.
