Make some collage fodder.
You know what’s fun? If you don’t mind making a colorful mess? Make some fodder for your art, those collages, those postcards and notecards, backgrounds, you know….fodder!
Pick a palette and stick with it. On a nice big sheet of paper, paint, stamp, make marks. Make shapes and vary the sizes.
With a homemade viewfinder, pick out some compositions and designs that appeal to you.
I made 5 “art cards” on mounting card stock to give them substance. They are 4 x 6 so can be postcards, too, if I decorate the back and make it look postcard-y. The leftovers are great for bits and pieces in collages.
By the way, although I said to make a colorful mess, I think this would be striking in black, grey, and white!
