Welcoming the ‘ber’ months….
Ah, September! I greet you with anticipation of beautiful new fall days with remnants of summer, a bit of sadness to see our truly lovely Pacific NW summer fade away, intense gladness that I am NOT needing to start a new school year, and the knowledge that I need to get my ass in gear if I am to be ready for the new calendar and other goodies for the shop.
But today, arriving back home at 3:00 am Paris time (which my body was still on), I have been quite lazy. Decompressing.
Waiting to disembark.
Yes, it is.
Jeannie and spent our last day in Paris buying something from Nina Kendosa, our favorite shop in Paris, having a very nice good-bye lunch on Rue Mouffetard, and packing up. Then I got to spend all day at CDG and 9 hours in flight (but I watched 3 good movies). Luggage arrived safely, Hubs was there to greet me, and my favorite cats were at the door. Lucky me.
I could neither find the postcards I had bought nor the airport mailbox to send something in. In my long wait at CDG, I improvised, used earlier drawings I had made, tore them down to pc size, translated English to French and hoped that somebody local would pop my stamped postcards in the mail. I left them on a not-being-used check-in counter in the departure area. I am curious to see if they ever arrive and somebody nice sends them for me. I will let you know.
Will they ever arrive?????
depending on Google Translate….
