I love to discover artists that I was previously unaware of. Those of you who are music buffs, especially jazz, knew of this one, I am sure, but Gerry Mulligan, born April 6, 1927, was a new musical artist to me. He performed with many great jazz musicians, including Miles Davis, Dave Brubeck, Chet Baker and Duke Ellington (all of whom I DO know!) American jazz saxophonist. If this interests you further or are a jazz buff, check out the rich website with lots of videos of live performances and cool music.

“There are some words that have been lost from modern usage that I like to bring to my music and have striven all my life to do, BEAUTY, GRACE, NOBILITY, these are the things that music can bring to us as human beings. I think it is well that we who make music keep that in our consciousness.” -GERRY MULLIGAN   gerrymulligan.co
