An anniversary and a birthday

Oliver Hardy, of Laurel and Hardy fame, was born on this day in 1892. If you have never seen Laurel (a Brit) and Hardy (born in Atlanta, Georgia) in action, call this Do Yourself a Favor #3 and check them out on YouTube. Many of their films are in historical archives and in the public domain. My favorite is "The Music Box" when this pair of dumbnuts move a piano up a long long flight of stairs.

This year my blog celebrates its tenth anniversary. So I went back to one of my earliest posts to mark it. I think I may do more of that as I grow through the year, 'cuz...well, why not? You can always look at the first 9-1/2 years at my old blog by clicking that ribbon on the right panel. It has always been focused on the arts and the little jewels of life.

I inherited the family photo at the bottom. I had saved the top magazine photo because it captured my imagination. It sat around for awhile wanting to be used!
