September always meant school.
…And I’m oh so happy not to be going there anymore. (Big wink.) For the record, I loved school. I played school, I attended some school all my life, I taught at school. But except for the learning I do everyday (through travel, books, puzzles and more) as I wander through retirement, I am glad to be done with “school” and enjoy a Labor Day weekend.

Okay…but having said all that, the video below is one of the reasons to love school. These boys made up a PI rap and performed it for the math class on PI day. The boy on the left knew the pi number to - oh, I d on’t know..30 places? maybe more. The video can only be reached via this link because I haven’t gotten permission from each of them, who are now in their mid- twenties and, no doubt, surgeons, lawyers, scientists or mathematicians. Or maybe teachers! They could be anything they wanted to be, of that I am sure. The video was taken with old technology and isn’t the best, but I think you get it. Rappin’ by gifted 5th and 6th graders. Can’t beat that.
